Senior Vice President, Finance and Strategy Luke T. Grossmann

Luke T. Grossmann was named senior vice president, Finance and Strategy in August 2019. He reports to the chief financial officer and executive vice president and is a member of the executive leadership team.

In this role he is responsible for leading research, development, and implementation of strategy, financial planning, demand-forecasting, and economic analysis for the Postal Service. He supports Management and Board directed strategy development and financial analysis. He will lead the organization’s approach to financial analysis and decision-making, and be responsible for driving improvements in business performance.

Since February 2016, Luke has served as vice president, Finance and Planning. In this role, he was responsible for leading the organization’s revenue and expense budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis, and program evaluation. He was previously Director, Operations Research, Insight, and Continuous Improvement, in which he was responsible for operations research, operations industrial engineering, and continuous improvement efforts. Luke has also served as Manager, Package Platform; Manager, Network Development and Support; and District Manager, Albany, New York.

Grossmann is a graduate of American University with degrees in economics and finance, and a minor in statistics. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a master of science in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as part of the Postal Sloan Fellows program.
