Vice President, Finance and Planning Luke T. Grossmann

Luke T. Grossmann was named vice president, Finance and Planning, on February 27, 2016. He reports to the chief financial officer and executive vice president. In this role, Grossmann is responsible for all revenue and expense budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis and program evaluation. 

Most recently, Grossmann served as the director, Operations Research, Insight and Continuous Improvement, reporting to the chief operating officer and executive vice president. In that role, he was responsible for operations research, operations industrial engineering and continuous improvement efforts. 

Grossmann also served as manager, Package Platform; manager, Network Development and Support; and district manager, Albany, New York. He began working with the Postal Service as a consultant focusing on various network initiatives. Accepting a career position in 2005, he was responsible for extensive network modeling.

Grossmann holds undergraduate degrees in economics and finance, with a minor in statistics from American University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Maryland, College Park. He is also a Sloan Fellow and holds a Master of Science in management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
