Jason R. DeChambeau, Acting Vice President, Processing Operations

Jason R. DeChambeau was named acting vice president, Processing Operations, in January 2026. He reports to the chief processing and distribution officer and executive vice president.

In this role, DeChambeau oversees processing operations and provides strategic direction for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of national policies, programs and standards for mail processing operations. He ensures short and long-term service and financial goals are communicated and met by operating managers.

Before, DeChambeau served as acting senior director of Processing Operations for the Chesapeake Division, where he managed processing and distribution operations for 25 facilities that process approximately 20 billion letters, flats and parcels annually, and service approximately 12 million delivery points.

DeChambeau began his Postal Service career in 1995 as an industrial engineer in Duluth, Minnesota. He worked in a variety of mid-level manager positions including manager, Distribution Operations; manager, In-Plant Support; and plant manager. His first executive assignment began in 2006 as the senior plant manager of the Columbia, South Carolina Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC), followed by senior plant manager, Greensboro, North Carolina P&DC; director, Processing Operations at headquarters; and senior director, Strategic Planning and Implementation.

DeChambeau has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Duluth. He completed the Executive Leadership Program and the Senior Executive Assessment Development Center and is Lean Six Sigma green belt certified.
