Vice President, Supply Management
Mark Guilfoil was named vice president, Supply Management, in September 2019. In this position, he manages the Postal Service's supplier relationships with over $12 billion in expenditures and $6 billion of inventory. Supply Management implements best practices of supply chain management including strategic planning, policy modernization, process improvement, strategic sourcing, strengthening of supplier relationships and diversity, technology enhancements and inventory management.
Before this role, Guilfoil served as manager, Supply Management Infrastructure, providing strategic oversight of Supply Management's purchasing policies, contract compliance, audit response management, budget, professional development and financial management, and the Purchasing Shared Service Centers. He also served as the manager, Mail and Operational Equipment Portfolio, supporting contracting activities in mail processing technology, vehicles, mail transport equipment and operational supplies.
Guilfoil holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Valparaiso University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He also studied at Cambridge University and the University of London Faculty of Laws. He completed the Postal Service's Advanced Leadership Program and the Executive Development Program. He received an executive leadership team award in 2016 for his contributions to the USPS world class package platform initiative.
