Vice President, Supply Management
Mark Guilfoil was named vice president, Supply Management, in September 2019. He reports to the chief financial officer and executive vice president.
In this position, Guilfoil manages supplier relationships with over $6.5 billion in expenditures and $6 billion in inventory. Supply Management implements best practices of supply chain management including strategic category management, requirements planning, policy modernization, process improvement, strategic sourcing, strengthening of supplier relationships and diversity, technology enhancements, inventory management and asset recovery.
Before this, Guilfoil served as director, Supply Management Infrastructure, where he provided strategic oversight of Supply Management’s purchasing policies, contract compliance, audit response management, budget, professional development and financial management, and the Purchasing Shared Service Centers. He also served as senior director, Mail and Operational Equipment Portfolio, where he supported contracting activities in mail processing technology, mail recognition and visibility, vehicles, mail transport equipment and operational supplies.
Guilfoil holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Valparaiso University in Indiana and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. He also studied at Cambridge University and the University of London Faculty of Laws. He completed the Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program and the Executive Development Program. He received executive leadership team awards in 2016 and 2023 for his contributions to Postal Service initiatives.
