Vice President, Transportation Strategy
Peter Routsolias was named vice president, Transportation Strategy, in December 2020. He reports to the chief logistics officer and executive vice president.
The vice president, Transportation Strategy, was established with the announcement of the Postal Service’s business structure realignment in August 2020. In this role, Routsolias leads the strategic design of a world-class transportation network. He is responsible for developing cost- and service-enhancing processes that optimize delivery and sortation operations throughout Postal Service plants.
An international logistics and operations executive with more than 25 years of experience, Routsolias has successfully managed multimillion dollar supply chains, creating and implementing new business processes, and developing effective strategic plans. He has served as senior vice president, transportation, at Ashley Distribution Services; vice president, transportation, at Univar Solutions; and vice president, transportation and network planning at XPO Logistics. He has also held director and executive-level positions at Schneider Logistics, Exel Logistics, DSC Logistics and Roadway Express.
Routsolias holds a bachelor's degree in management from Indiana University, and a Master of Business Administration from Purdue University in Indiana.
