Vice President, Human Resources
Simon Storey was named vice president, Employee Resource Management, in June 2017. In this role, Storey and his team oversees all aspects of our employee life cycle, from hiring to retiring for the United States Postal Service’s more than 635,000 employees.
Storey and his team are dedicated to improving the employee experience, ensuring a safe work place, and equipping and empowering them to do their best work for the American people each day.
The function of Employee Resource Management supports all aspects of complement management, including Safety and Health, Organization Design, Diversity and Talent Acquisition, Injury Compensation, and Hiring and Selection Policies. In addition, Storey and his team manages one of the largest Human Resources Shared Services and Human Capital Enterprise Systems in the country.
With more than 30 years of federal service, Storey began his career in the Postal Service as a mail processing clerk in Billings, Montana, and later supervised and held other management positions. Storey possesses a strong human resources background with more than 20 years of experience working in various District and Area Human Resources leadership positions.
Storey holds a bachelor’s degree in Management from St. Leo University and also studied business administration at Montana State University.
