CENTRAL FLORIDA — In an abundance of caution, and to ensure the safety of both postal customers and employees, the U.S. Postal Service Florida 2 District is temporarily suspending operations until further notice at all Post Offices within the following 3-digit ZIP Codes due to Tropical Storm Ian. The safety of our employees and our customers is a priority for the Postal Service.
This includes all Post Office operations in the 328, 329, 342 and 347 ZIP Code areas.
The Postal Service appreciates its customers and their understanding as we temporarily adjust operations due to inclement weather. We will continue to monitor tropical weather conditions and will restore service when it is safe to do so.
USPS Service Alerts provide information to consumers, small businesses, and business mailers about postal facility service disruptions due to weather-related and other natural disasters or events. Updated information is available at https://about.usps.com/newsroom/service-alerts/.
Postal employees are reminded to call the National Employee Emergency Hotline at (888) 363-7462 for updated reporting information.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relied on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
