TYRONE, GA — The Tyrone Post Office, located at 100 Commerce, GA 30290, has temporarily suspended operations, due to a fire that occurred on March 26, 2023.
Effective Tuesday, March 28, 2023, Tyrone customers may conduct retail transactions, including mailing packages and purchasing postage, at the Peachtree City Post Office, located at 151 Highway 74 S Peachtree City, GA 30269. Hours of operation for retail services are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; Saturday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and closed on Sunday. Tyrone Post Office Box customers with proper identification may pick up their mail at this location during hours of retail operations.
Customers may conduct business transactions (apart from P.O. Box mail pickup) at two alternate locations. The Sharpsburg Post Office is located at 6545 Highway 54, Sharpsburg, GA 30277. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Newnan Post Office is located at 60 Postal Pkwy., Newnan, GA 30263. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The Sharpsburg and Newnan Post Offices are closed on Sunday.
Delivery service is not affected and will continue uninterrupted.
