Public invited to attend ceremony
PALMYRA, IN – Robin Michelle Philpot will take the Oath of Office on Friday, Nov. 22, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. to become the new Postmaster for Palmyra, IN. The ceremony will take place at the Palmyra Post Office, located at 805 Main St. A meet-and-greet reception will immediately follow.
Philpot began her postal career in 2003 as a Postmaster relief for the Bradford, IN, Post Office where she was later named Postmaster. She most recently worked at the Floyds Knobs Post Office and has served as acting Postmaster in several area offices.
“I am so happy to serve the Palmyra community and look forward to serving our wonderful postal customers in the future,” said Philpot. She will be the 35th Palmyra Postmaster.
In addition to the Palmyra Post Office, Philpot is also responsible for oversight of the Hardinsburg and Fredericksburg Post Offices, as well as the Village Post Office located in the Hardinsburg Hardware Store.
The Kentuckiana District serves ZIP Codes 400-409, 411-427 in Kentucky and 471, 476-477 in southern Indiana.
