U.S. Postal Service Temporarily Suspends Operations In Silver City, MS Due to Tornado Outbreak

MISSISSIPPI — Due to the recent tornado outbreak, the U.S. Postal Service temporarily will adjust operations at the Silver City, MS Post Office, located at 65 West St, Silver City, MS 39166-9998.

The U.S. Postal Service apologizes for any inconvenience and appreciates our customers’ patience as we work to restore operations as quickly as possible.

Silver City customers may conduct retail transactions, including mailing packages and purchasing  postage, at the Belzoni Post Office at 102 Church St, Belzoni, MS 39038-9998. Silver City Post Office Box customers with proper identification may pick up their mail at this location. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. The Post Office is open Saturday, 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Service is not available on Sunday.

Customers are reminded that they may call 1-800-ASK-USPS or visit the Postal Service’s website, usps.com, for locations of additional nearby Post Offices and approved postal retail service providers.
