USPS Temporarily Adjusts Retail Operations In South Carolina Due to Hurricane Ian

Beaufort, SC — The U.S. Postal Service South Carolina District has announced a temporary suspension of retail operations in Beaufort and Parris Island, due to Hurricane Ian. The safety of our employees and our customers is a priority for the Postal Service.

Retail operations have been temporarily suspended at the following Post Offices beginning Thursday, September 29 until further notice.

  • Marine Corps Air Station
    1283 Geiger Blvd
    Beaufort, SC 29904
  • Parris Island Post Office
    292 Boulevard De France
    Parris Island, SC 29905

During this closure, retail services will be offered at the following alternate location:

  • Beaufort Main Post Office
    501 Charles St
    Beaufort, SC 29902

Retail Hours of Operation:
Mon-Fri            8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Sat                   9:00 am - 12:00 pm
Sun                  Closed

The Postal Service appreciates its customers and their understanding as we temporarily adjust operations due to inclement weather. We will continue to monitor tropical weather conditions and will restore service when it is safe to do so.
