Houston, TX – Tropical Storm Imelda’s possible impact on the Gulf Coast resulted in the temporary closure of some postal facilities in the Houston District until further notice. Today, the U.S. Postal Service announced that Retail and Delivery Operations have all been temporarily suspended at the following offices:

In ZIP Code 773, the following Post Office is temporarily suspended. All operations for this Post Office will be shut down until further notice. There will be no mail delivery or Retail Operations.
All Post Offices within the following 3-Digit ZIP Codes are temporarily suspended. All operations for these Post Offices will be shut down until further notice. There will be no mail delivery or Retail Operations.
The Postal Service is continually monitoring conditions in these areas. As the situation improves, the Postal Service will provide additional information on restoration of service, including the resumption of delivery of mail and the reopening of Post Offices.
