Kick Off a New Career at the USPS Job Fair

GATESVILLE, TX – The United States Postal Service is seeking motivated individuals to fill immediate openings for the positions of Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) and Postmaster Relief (PMR) in Gatesville, Jonesboro, Mound and Purmela. A postal job offers employees the ability to work where they live, competitive pay, stability, lifelong benefits and career advancement opportunities.

To assist potential applicants, the Postal Service is hosting an in-person Job Fair on Thursday, August 28, from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., at the post office below. Postal officials will be onsite to answer questions about employment opportunities and to assist with the application process.

Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) – At $20.38 per hour, an RCA is responsible for the delivery and collection of mail and serves families and businesses in rural and suburban areas. An applicant must have a valid state driver's license and demonstrate and maintain a safe driving record. A personal vehicle may be required. Becoming an RCA could be the first step to becoming a full-time, regular rural carrier with full benefits.

Postmaster Relief (PMR) – At $16.97 per hour, a PMR will work up to 6 days per week to serve customers at a retail window open for 2 hours per day. Benefits include the accrual of paid time off at the rate of one hour for every 20 hours in which an employee is in a pay status in each pay period. PMRs are immediately eligible to enroll in the USPS Health Benefits Plan with a Postal Service premium contribution.
