Postal Service Hiring Seasonal Workers

DULLES – The Postal Service will be hiring for seasonal positions in the Dulles, VA, area. The jobs are posted now at usps.com/careers. Applications can be made at the same online site.

The positions include:

Casual Mailhandlers (Casual MHA) – $18.00/hour Performs mail handling, mail processing, or a combination of such duties on a supplemental basis.
Entrance exam required. No interview required. Positions available at the Dulles Processing and Distribution plant only.

Mailhandler Assistants (MHA) - $17.19/hour Loads, unloads, and moves bulk mail and performs other duties incidental to the movement and processing of mail.
Entrance exam required. No interviews required. Positions available at the Dulles Processing and Distribution plant only.

Casual (CEP) - $18.00/hour Performs mail handling, mail processing, or a combination of such duties on a supplemental basis during a Casual Exception Period.
Entrance exam required. No interviews required. Positions available at the Dulles Processing and Distribution plant only.

All positions will be limited and applicants may apply for as many as they choose. Once the positions are filled, USPS will no longer process applications.

These positions will last through the holiday season, ending in January 2020. Casual employees that continue work through the entire holiday season will receive a $200 bonus.

Applicants must be able to pass a drug screening and a criminal background investigation. Any position that has a driving requirement will also require a valid driver license and clean 2-year driving history. Citizenship or permanent resident status is required.

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
