Effective June 15, 2023, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Peru in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to add an observation to include certain addressee contact information for items mailed to Peru.
This revision is based on a formal request that Servicios Postales del Perú S.A. (SERPOST, the designated postal operator of Peru) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 84, dated May 22, 2023.

7. On each Registered Mail item and on the customs form of each item mailed to Peru, display the addressee’s telephone or mobile phone number and, if available, the addressee’s email address.

Although effective June 15, 2023, the Postal Service will incorporate this revision into a later edition of the online IMM (after the one scheduled for July 9, 2023). The IMM is available via Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
