IMM Revision: Individual Country Listing for Saudi Arabia

Effective June 15, 2023, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Saudi Arabia in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to add an entry in the Observations section to reflect address requirements for First-Class Mail International®, Airmail M-bag®, and First-Class Mail Package International Service® items to Saudi Arabia.

This revision is based on a formal request that Saudi Post (the designated postal operator of Saudi Arabia) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 32, dated February 20, 2023.

[Add an entry to read as follows:]

4. First-Class Mail International, First-Class Package International Service, and Airmail M-bag items are deliverable to the addressee only from a post office box or through collection by the addressee at the post office. To ensure timely delivery, Saudi Post (the designated postal operator of Saudi Arabia) requests that such mail include the addressee’s mobile telephone number (if available), the post office box number, the name of the town, and the corresponding postcode.
