Effective April 2023, the Postal Service™ revised PS Form 2574, Resignation/Transfer from the Postal Service, to update and streamline the essential information necessary to process a resignation or transfer from the Postal Service into another federal agency.
The following revisions were made:
n Updated Privacy Act Statement.
n Added “Personal Email Address” as a contact method, if necessary.
n Isolated “Transfer” and removed “Separation” for clarity.
n For transfers, “email address” was added as a contact method for the gaining federal agency’s Human Resource representative.
n Removed “Pursuing farming” as a reason for resignation.
n Added section for “Employee Signature.”
The use of revised PS Form 2574 is effective immediately. All previous editions of PS Form 2574 are obsolete and must be recycled.
Revised PS Form 2574 is now available on the Postal Service PolicyNet website:
n Go to blue.usps.gov.
n In the left-hand column, click Essential Links, and then click PolicyNet.
n On the right-hand side under “Published Forms and Directives,” click Forms, and then click on the range 2000–2999.
n Scroll down to the form entry and click the PDF icon.
