Effective June 27, 2024, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Iraq in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to note additional prohibitions regarding certain items destined for Iraq.
These revisions are based on a formal notification that the Iraq Post and Savings Company (the designated postal operator of Iraq) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 85, dated May 27, 2024.

Although effective June 27, 2024, the Postal Service will incorporate these revisions into a later edition of the online IMM (the one scheduled after July 14, 2024). The IMM is available via Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
