IMM Revision: Individual Country Listing for Indonesia

Effective June 27, 2024, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Indonesia in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to revise restrictions on commercial shipments mailed to Indonesia.

This revision is based on a formal notification that Pos Indonesia (the designated postal operator of Indonesia) provided through email correspondence dated June 4, 2024.

Restrictions

[Revise the current entry (beginning with “Import licenses”) to read as follows:]

For commercial shipments, import licenses are required. The following articles are not permitted in commercial shipments: articles of gold or silver, including tableware, pens and pencils ornamented with precious metal, calendar watches, linen clothing, natural silk goods, children’s toys operated by steam or electricity, leather goods, coffee essences, coffee substitutes, molasses and sugar substitutes, traditional medicines and supplements, medicine without a doctor’s prescription, cosmetics, bags, footwear, and electronics.

Although effective June 27, 2024, the Postal Service will incorporate this revision into a later edition of the online IMM (the one scheduled after July 14, 2024). The IMM is available via Postal Explorer® at pe.usps.com.
