IMM Revision: Individual Country Listing for India

Effective February 20, 2025, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for India in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to do the following:

n Move the prohibition regarding consumer electronics destined to India from the Prohibitions section to the Restrictions section.

n Change the maximum value from 200 Indian rupees to 50,000 Indian rupees.

This revision is based on the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Department of Commerce Notification No. 22/2015-2020, dated August 12, 2016.

Shipments of consumer electronics imported by one person at any one time and for personal use must not exceed a Cost Insurance and Freight (CIF) value of 50,000 Indian rupees.
