Revised Publication 45, Achieving a Violence-Free Workplace Together

Effective May 15, 2025, the Postal Service™ is revising Publication 45, Achieving a Violence-Free Workplace Together. USPS® Workplace Violence Prevention Program provides employees with information and resources regarding the proper violence prevention and response measures. To achieve a violence-free workplace, every employee, every day, must do the following:

n Report all perceived acts of aggression,

n Violence, or

n Threats.

Publication 45 provides employees with the information and resources to reach this goal.

The updated version of Publication 45 is effective immediately and available on the Postal Service PolicyNet website:

n Go to blue.usps.gov.

n In the left-hand column, click Essential Links, and then click PolicyNet.

n On the right-hand side, under “Published Forms and Directives,” click Publications.

n Then scroll down to the Pub 45 entry and select the PDF icon.
