Protecting the Postal Service™ sensitive information is a top priority and ACE computer users now have a simple way of contributing to this mission: sensitivity labels.
These optional labels, which will eventually become mandatory, help protect files and communications by controlling who can view or edit them. They also add clear visual markings, such as watermarks, headers, or footers, to indicate classification.
ACE users can apply sensitivity labels to the following:
n Emails.
n Meetings (Teams and Outlook events).
n Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files.
n Microsoft Teams sites.
n SharePoint and OneDrive files.
n Power BI datasets.
n Microsoft 365 Groups and SharePoint sites.
Using sensitivity labels helps prevent unauthorized access and strengthens the organization’s data security.
Applying a label is simple. In Outlook, Word, Excel, or PowerPoint, select the Sensitivity button on the toolbar and choose a label. In Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, labels can be applied when creating, editing, or sharing files.
For more information about sensitivity labeling, go to the Sensitivity Labeling Initiative Blue page at blue.usps.gov/itweb/ciso/cybersecurity-engineering/labeling.htm.
