Effective October 16, 2025, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Iraq in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to update the list of prohibited items to include all electronic items and lithium batteries.
This revision is based on a formal request that Iraq Post and Savings Public Company (the designated postal operator of Iraq) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 105, dated July 7, 2025.
