Effective October 16, 2025, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Laos in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to add an observation about including the addressee’s phone number, if available, for all postal items sent to Laos.
This revision is based on a formal request that Lao Post Company, Ltd. (the designated postal operator of Laos) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 131, dated August 18, 2025.
