Effective July 12, 2026, the Postal Service™ will revise Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, Domestic Mail Manual (DMM®), in various sections, to reflect that the Web Tools® Application Programming Interface (API) platform has been replaced with the USPS® API platform.
The Postal Service has deployed a new API Gateway and API Developer Portal to replace the legacy Web Tools API platform (which was retired on January 25, 2026) and is updating the DMM to replace outdated references to Web Tools. Additional information and migration support are available at usps.com/business/web-tools-apis/welcome.htm.
Although these revisions will not be published in the DMM until July 12, 2026, these standards are effective immediately.
