USPS Delivered Duty Paid (DDP) service can be obtained only at the time of mailing at a Post Office retail service counter, online using Click-N-Ship, through USPS APIs, or using USPS-produced Global Shipping Software (GSS). USPS DDP is available for the following types of mail:
n Priority Mail Express International.
n Priority Mail International.
n First-Class Package International Service.
USPS DDP service is available only to select foreign countries and may be required based on certain conditions, such as destination customs clearance requirements. See Individual Country Listings for additional country-specific requirements.
USPS DDP service is not available with First-Class Mail International service, International Priority Airmail service, any type of M-bag service, and other workshare products.
USPS-approved PC Postage providers or third-party marketplaces may choose to use alternative solutions, other than USPS DDP service, for collecting and remitting duties, taxes, and fees to the foreign customs authority. USPS employees should accept and process these mailpieces in the same manner as those using USPS DDP service.
