IMM Revision: Changes to Size and Weight Limits for Australia

Effective September 3, 2026, the Postal Service™ is revising Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM^®) to reflect changes to the size and weight limits for Priority Mail Express International^® and Priority Mail International^® items destined for Australia as follows:

n Priority Mail Express International: The size limit increases to a maximum length of 42 inches, and length and girth combined of 108 inches, and the maximum weight limit decreases to 44 pounds. Previously, the maximum length was 36 inches, while the length and girth combined was 97 inches and the maximum weight was 66 pounds.

n Priority Mail International: The size limit decreases to a maximum length and girth combined of 79 inches, and the maximum weight limit decreases to 44 pounds. Previously, the maximum length and girth combined was 97 inches and the maximum weight was 66 pounds. The maximum length of 42 inches remains the same.
