Effective October 15, 2026, the Postal Service™ is revising the Individual Country Listing for Kazakhstan in Mailing Standards of the United States Postal Service, International Mail Manual (IMM®) to reflect that the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number must be included on the customs form for cellular subscriber devices (including smartphones and tablets with cellular function) destined to Kazakhstan.
This revision is based on a formal request that “Kazpost” Joint Stock Company (the designated postal operator of Kazakhstan) made through the Universal Postal Union via International Bureau Circular 106, dated July 27, 2026.
