Throughout October, USPS® celebrates Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CSAM), an annual event sponsored by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency and the National Cybersecurity Alliance, which emphasizes the importance of cybersecurity.
Led by the Corporate Information Security Office (CISO), this year’s CSAM theme is Be Resilient. Be Bold. Be CyberSafe. The theme underscores the critical role cybersecurity plays in advancing our mission and how individual awareness strengthens the overall security of the Postal Service™.
Each week during October, go to the Cybersecurity Awareness Month Blue site at blue.usps.gov/cyber/awareness-fair.htm to see new material updated by the CyberSafe at USPS® team.
In honor of CSAM, employees and contractors are invited to visit the CyberSafe at USPS page at blue.usps.gov/cyber/about-cybersafe.htm for an overview of cybersafe best practices to discover a variety of materials such as:
n Monthly Awareness Campaigns. Informative campaigns that offer valuable resources such as one-pagers, newsletters, Smart Cybersecurity Moment slides, and other assets providing cybersecurity best practices for both work and home.
n CyberSafe Guardians. A resource center of best practices for volunteers serving as cybersecurity awareness ambassadors at their work facilities nationwide.
n Virtual Awareness Activities. Engaging awareness activities that promote best practices knowledge and USPS policy awareness.
n About CyberSafe. A full page that describes the CyberSafe program and how to report suspicious emails to the Cybersecurity Operations Center immediately by selecting the email(s) and clicking on the Report to CyberSafe button in the Outlook toolbar.
n Training Courses. Courses provide information on a variety of cybersecurity topics.
Visit the CSAM page throughout the month of October so you can “Be Resilient. Be Bold. Be CyberSafe.”
