USPS workforce ready to deliver another successful holiday season

Every gift sent with the U.S. Postal Service this holiday season is backed by one of the most diverse and dedicated workforces in the country.

Postal Service employees processed and delivered more than 11.7 billion mailpieces and packages during the 2022 holiday season, with an average delivery time of just 2.5 days. Performance looks even stronger for the 2023 holiday season, with new investments in personnel, package processing and delivery operations made possible by the Delivering for America plan.

Since October 2020, the Postal Service has converted 150,000 precareer employees into career positions. This year, 10,000 seasonal employees join a workforce of more than 640,000 working in mail processing, retail and delivery, facilities, vehicle maintenance and more. Each role plays an important part in delivering a successful holiday season for communities across the United States.

Those looking to deliver for their communities this holiday season and beyond can still seek opportunities at usps.com/careers, where a variety of seasonal positions are listed.
