USPS has tools for busy holiday customers

If you need help tackling your holiday to-do list, the U.S. Postal Service® is here for you.

We make it easy to get holiday cards and packages to their destinations on time and offer a variety of tools to simplify your seasonal shipping. Here’s what’s available:

Click-N-Ship®. Residential and small-business customers can use this online application to print labels and ship packages with ease from their homes or offices. You can set your personal shipping preferences, and if you don’t have a printer, the online Label Broker® has plenty of alternative options.

Find USPS® Locations. The U.S. Postal Service® offers services at locations other than a Post OfficeTM. Use this tool to help find nearby locations and services. Clicking a location will even show you what time it opens, when it closes, and which services it offers.

Hold Mail®. Traveling for the holidays? This free service allows you to pause mail delivery for three to 30 days. We’ll securely hold the mail at your local Post OfficeTM location until you return. You can also redirect incoming parcels to your local Post OfficeTM location by selecting “Hold for Pickup” using the online USPS Package Intercept® feature.

Holiday Newsroom. Bulit with the consumer experience in mind, the online USPS Holiday Newsroom at usps.com/holidaynews is a one-stop solution for customers’ holiday shipping and mailing needs. It offers a comprehensive suite of tools and resources to help simplify and streamline using USPS® during the holidays and beyond. Plus, beginning Nov. 24, the Holiday Newsroom is the exclusive home of the Postal Service’s proprietary holiday package and mail counter.

Holiday Shipping Supplies. Stress less this season when you order shipping supplies online at The Postal Store®. Your boxes and envelopes will be ready to ship your gifts in no time!

Informed Delivery®. This free service allows customers to receive preview images of their incoming mail and status updates about inbound and outbound packages. Informed Delivery® also has other features that make tracking and receiving your packages easier and more convenient.

Look Up a ZIP CodeTM. If you’re unsure of a ZIP CodeTM, you can look up the approved, standardized USPS format for addressing mail and packages to ensure smooth processing and flawless delivery.

Recommended Holiday Shipping and Mailing Dates. The U.S. Postal Service® provides a detailed list of recommended domestic, international, and military shipping and mailing dates online to help customers stay on schedule during the holidays.

Schedule a Pickup. USPS® offers its free Package Pickup service that allows customers to schedule a pickup by their letter carrier for the next delivery day or a designated day in just four easy steps online.

The Postal Store®. This online shop is open 24 hours a day where customers can order stamps, shipping supplies, collectibles, and unique items only available from the United States Postal Service®.

Track a Package. With USPS Tracking® customers can track the status of one or more packages throughout the holiday season. This online tool can provide information on up to 35 items at a time – all you need is your tracking number(s).

But wait, there’s more!

The online U.S. Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) website at uspis.gov has tips to protect your packages — and yourself — during the holidays and beyond.

Happy Holidays!
