USPS 50th Anniversary Oral History Project

On July 1, 1971, the Post Office Department was officially transformed into the United States Postal Service. In 2021, twenty-five current postal employees were interviewed who were on the job when this historic transition took place. To read highlights from the interviews, see our 16-page paper.
