Behind-the-Scenes Media Tour At Los Angeles Mail Processing & Distribution Center

What:

As part of our 10-year Delivering for America plan, the Postal Service is investing $40 billion to modernize its operations, including investments to accommodate growing customer demand for package delivery. The Postal Service continues to remain on the cutting edge by proactively thinking ahead to provide more predictable service to our customers in advance of the much-anticipated holiday season. In addition, the plan includes $20 billion going towards our mail and package processing network, including USPS facility space upgrades and procurement of new processing equipment.

We’d like to invite you to visit the Los Angeles Processing and Distribution Center on November 30, 2022, to see these processing machines in action.

You’ll also have the chance to speak with senior postal management on the vision for these machines ahead of our holiday peak season.

When:

November 30, 2022, 6 pm to 10 pm

Where:

Los Angeles Processing & Distribution Center
7001 S Central Avenue
Los Angeles, CA 90052

Background:

Los Angeles Plant Manager Daniel Hirai and his team will share information on the sorting machines and what it means for our customers. Personnel will be available for interviews in Spanish.
