CONNECTICUT — With over 40 years of federal service, Kevin D. Clark, U.S. Postal Service District Manager, Connecticut District, will retire June 30, 2021.
Clark has served the Postal Service’s Connecticut District as District Manager since June 2019 and oversees over all of Connecticut’s delivery and retail units, three mail processing and distribution centers and over 6,600 employees.
Clark began his career in 1986 as a City Letter Carrier in Eastport, Maine. He came up through the ranks in positions of increasing responsibility throughout his career including various postmaster positions in the state of Maine; Manager, Post Office Operations positions in the Appalachian District, Ohio Valley District and Northern New England District and Plant Manager of the Eastern Maine P&DC. He moved into the executive ranks as the Senior Plant Manager, Albany, NY P&DC followed by District Manager, Northern New England District and Connecticut Valley District, now Connecticut District.
Throughout his career, Clark has always led by example and exhibited a high degree of professionalism and integrity wherever he worked. His retirement will be felt by many people who have worked for him.
Among his many achievements, Clark earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from the University of Maine in Augusta. He is also a graduate of the Postal Service’s Managerial Leadership Program, Advanced Leadership Program, Processing Distribution Management Program, Executive Foundations and Executive Leadership and is Black Belt certified in Lean Six Sigma business methodologies.
Clark originally came to the Postal Service after serving in the U.S. Navy.
Clark is the son of Kenneth and the late Ruth Clark of Eastport, Maine. He graduated from Shead High School, Class of 1981. He is married to his wife Susan and they have two children; Sara Ricker and Adam Clark. They look forward to spending more time with their four grandchildren: Pete, Grace, Ben and Colton.
