Naperville, IL — For customers planning international trips, the Naperville Post Office, 1750 W. Ogden Ave, is hosting Passport Fairs on Saturdays, February 9, March 9 and 23, with extended Passport hours from 8:30 am - 6 pm and Sundays February 10, March 10 and 24, 2019 with extended Passport hours from 11 am - 4 pm. The U.S. Postal Service has made applying for your passport easier with the launch of the USPS Retail Customer Appointment Scheduler™ tool (RCAS) on http://www.usps.com/scheduler.
To help speed up the process, customers should fill out forms ahead of time. Do not sign the form. Application forms, information on the costs and how to apply for a passport book and/or passport card can be found at usps.com/passportor travel.state.gov/passport. Customers can also obtain passport information by phone, in English and Spanish, by calling the National Passport Information Center toll-free at (877) 487-2778.
Travelers need to bring with them the following items:
All applicants must appear in person (including minors). Passport applications for children under 16 have special requirements. Visit travel.state.gov for more information.
The passport application requires a recent color passport photograph of you (2” x 2” in size), which some of the Post Office Passport Offices can provide for $15.
Each passport for an adult must be accompanied by a check or money order for $110 made payable to the U.S. State Department and a $35 execution fee made payable to Postmaster. Fees for children under 16 are $80 and $35.
Customers can call 1-800-ASK-USPS or go to the Postal Service’s Website www.usps.com to get the location of passport Post Offices and their passport customer service hours.
After scheduling a passport appointment, make sure to click the Informed Delivery button. This new feature allows you to preview your mail and manage packages when you’re not home. Passport customers may also check the U.S. State Department’s web site at www.travel.state.gov to obtain additional information.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
