UPDATE: Mayfield Post Office Temporary Operations

New location for mail and package pick up

MAYFIELD, KY — The Postal Service has established a new mail and package pick up location for Mayfield customers displaced by the recent tornado. Beginning Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2021, Mayfield customers unable to receive street delivery and PO Box customers may pick up their mail at the Hickory Post Office, located at 1976 State Route 1241, Hickory, KY 42051.

Hours of operation for Mayfield customers to pick up mail and packages at the Hickory Post Office are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The Hickory Post Office is 5.7 miles from Mayfield.

Carriers will attempt street delivery where possible.

To avoid overcrowding at the Hickory Post Office, USPS suggests visiting other nearby post offices for retail transactions. Suggested locations include:

  • Sedalia Post Office

    6.9 miles from Mayfield
    Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    Saturdays, 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Farmington Post Office

    Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
    Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
  • Wingo Post Office

    Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
    Saturdays, 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
