NEVADA - The U.S. Postal Service has implemented an emergency suspension of the Zephyr Cove, Stateline, and Glenbrook Post Offices effective immediately.

As a result of the nearby Caldor Fire, the Postal Service is temporarily suspending operations at the following Nevada Post Offices:

• Zephyr Cove Post Office

    212 Elks Point Rd
    Zephyr Cove, NV 89448-9800

• Stateline Post Office

    223 Kingsbury Grade
    Stateline, NV 89449-9997

• Glenbrook Post Office

    1785 Us Highway 50
    Glenbrook, NV 89413-9995

Until further notice, all retail and P.O. Box operations at Zephyr Cove, Stateline, and Glenbrook will be conducted at the following location:

• Ormsby Post Office

    2613 Empire Ranch Rd
    Carson City, NV 89706-9998

    The Ormsby Post Office is open Mon-Fri: 9:00am – 5:00pm. The office is closed Saturday and Sunday.

Customers from Zephyr Cove, Stateline, and Glenbrook who are picking up P.O. Box mail at Ormsby must do so at the retail counter during normal business hours. A valid picture ID is required to pick up P.O. Box mail. This is an emergency suspension of this office, not a permanent closure. Additional details will be provided as they become available regarding the reopening of this office.

Customers are reminded that the Post Office is always open, 24/7 including holidays, at www.usps.com. Using usps.com, customers can look up a ZIP Code, request free Priority Mail Flat Rate packaging, hold their mail, set up Premium Forwarding Service, and even print a mailing label and pay for postage using Click-N-Ship.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
