USPS Pictorial Postmark to Commemorate 17th Year of Cat’n Around Catskill

CATSKILL, NY — This weekend, the United States Postal Service will be offering a commemorative keepsake postmark, also known as a pictorial cancellation, in recognition of the 2023 Cat’n Around Catskill art festival. 

Customers interested in obtaining one of the keepsake postmarks may visit Citiot, 404 Main Street, Catskill, NY 12414 between 9 a.m. and noon on Saturday June 23.

Catskill Postmaster Marlon Munoz stated, “We will apply the postmark on any envelope that has proper postage, making it a special souvenir of Cat’n Around Catskill.”  

In addition, the special cancellation will be available through mail requests until July 24, 2023.  Customers seeking cancellations via mail shall affix stamps to an envelope, address it to themselves or others, insert a card of postcard thickness, and then place in a larger stamped envelope to mail to: Cat’n Around Catskill Station, Postmaster, 270 Main Street, Catskill, NY 12414.

The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
