USPS Prepares for the 41st Annual Dominican Day Parade

NYC Collection Boxes in the Area Receive Temporary Seal / Removal

NEW YORK — In the interest of safety and security, postal officials will temporarily seal or remove Postal Service collection boxes on Saturday, August 12, in New York City.

The familiar blue collection boxes will be inaccessible until reopened on Monday, August 14.

US Mail Collection Boxes impacted at the following locations:

  • 36th Street between Broadway and 5th Avenue
  • 37th Street between Broadway and 5th Avenue
  • 38th Street between Broadway and 5th Avenue
  • 6th Avenue between 36th and 52nd Street
  • 52nd Street, between Broadway and 5th Avenue

For additional locations to deposit mail, customers are directed to usps.com and to use Quick Tools to Find Locations. Use the dropdown for collection boxes or post offices to find alternate locations for secure mail deposits in the immediate area.
