Fraudulent websites continue to pose a threat to cybersecurity as cybercriminals are creating these websites to trick us into clicking on malicious websites.
Www[.]liteblue-secure[.]com is an example of a fake website that is a close copy of the legitimate website, liteblue.usps.gov/wps/myportal.
USPS® recommends the following tips when accessing websites:
n Type website addresses directly into the address bar and bookmark them as a favorite.
n Double-check that you are on the correct website by carefully reviewing the website address.
n Stop and think before providing personal information and interacting with websites.
n Report suspicious activity to the Cybersecurity Operations Center by emailing cybersafe@usps.gov or calling 866-877-7247.
n Assume that online browsers like Google and Yahoo always navigate to real and safe websites.
n Click on suspicious email links or attachments.
n Answer unsolicited texts or calls from unknown numbers.
n Share your employee identification number, password, or multifactor authentication codes with anyone.
