Vice President, Regional Processing Operations—Western Region
John DiPeri was named vice president, Regional Processing Operations, Western Region, in November 2023, a role he had acted in since October. He reports to the chief processing and distribution officer and executive vice president.
In this role, DiPeri is responsible for mail processing and distribution in five western regional divisions: Southwest, Midwest, Pacific Northwest, Southern California and Western. He oversees 51,000 employees, 125 facilities and over 2.7 million square miles of territory.
Before, DiPeri served as senior director, Processing, Northwest Division; district manager and senior plant manager, Arizona-New Mexico District; senior plant manager, Spokane District; district manager, Big Sky District; and district manager, Dakota districts.
DiPeri began his Postal Service career in 1981 as a mail handler in Van Nuys, California. In addition to his executive roles, he also served as a mail processing trainer at the National Center for Development, international sales representative; transportation specialist; transportation manager; and he has held a variety of managerial positions in several states and at headquarters.
DiPeri completed studies in business, marketing and organizational design at Pierce College, Rocky Mountain College, University of Alaska Anchorage, Benedictine University, University of Phoenix Northern Cal and San Jose State University. He is also a graduate of the Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program and is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
