Background:
On Thursday, May 12, in his 15th year as a postal employee, Robert “Bobby” Drew will be sworn in as Lemoore Postmaster.
Drew began his postal career in Fresno, CA in 2006 as a letter carrier. He has worked in several different cities which include Corcoran and Tulare.
“It is an honor to serve and be a steward to our community and build relationships with our customers,” Drew said. The Postal Service is continually innovating to provide first-class service which can be seen in the Postmaster General’s Delivering for America 10-Year Plan.”
Drew enjoys the outdoors, waterfowl hunting and disc golf. He has one son Dylan Drew and is husband of 13 years to Jaime Drew. He is a member of Lemoore Ducks Unlimited Chapter and active in Kings and Tulare County Disc Golf Clubs
As Lemoore Postmaster, Drew oversees over 18,000 pieces of mail delivered daily while also servicing over 1,000 Post Office Box deliveries. He manages 39 employees, 17 postal routes with a population of more than 25,000.
The Postal Service generally receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products, and services to fund its operations.
