The CyberSafe at USPS® team at the Postal Service™ is reminding employees and contractors that to avoid human error, we must stay informed and follow cybersafe best practices.
CyberSafe at USPS provides initiatives, information, and resources that serve to:
n Improve employee awareness.
n Increase cybersecurity resilience.
n Strengthen Postal Service’s response capabilities.
To lessen the impact of human error, follow these tips, which also are provided in the CyberSafe checklist on the CyberSafe web page at blue.usps.gov/cyber/assets/pdf/cybersafe-checklist.pdf:
n Watch your workstation. Lock your computer when it is not in use by clicking the windows key + L or CTRL+ALT+Delete.
n Protect your data. Create passwords with 15 or more letters and numbers.
n Complete all required CyberSafe training courses before their due dates.
n Report suspicious activity. Report suspicious emails to the Cybersecurity Operations Center immediately by selecting the email and clicking on the Report to CyberSafe button in the Outlook toolbar.
