The Postal Service celebrates the installation of Jeremie Six as the 41st Postmaster of Los Angeles

The Los Angeles District (CA 5) Postal Service will host a special ceremony to officiate Jeremie Six as the 41st Postmaster of Los Angeles. Dr. Joshua D. Colins, chief retail & delivery officer and executive vice president will administer the Oath of Office.

Background:

Jeremie Six began his career in 2013 as a City Carrier Assistant in San Clemente, CA. After converting to a career position in 2014, Six was promoted in 2015 to the ranks of management as a Supervisor, Customer Service in Santa Ana, CA.

Six gained valuable operational knowledge and education as a graduate of the Advanced Leadership and the Managerial Leadership programs, in addition to committing himself to being Lean Six Sigma certified.

The education and training Six received helped him during his leadership experience in several roles which increased in responsibility while serving as Manager, Customer Services, Aliso Viejo, CA; Laguna Niguel Postmaster, Laguna Beach Postmaster, Post Office Operations Manager and Operations Integration Manager, Executive Postmaster, Tucson, AZ, and Executive Postmaster, Long Beach, CA prior to his promotion as the Postmaster, Los Angeles.

In his current position, Six oversees nearly 2,500 employees, including 125 managers. The city of Los Angeles serves one of the largest and most diverse populations in the nation. Under Six’s leadership, mail carriers deliver to 1,300 routes, serving more than one million delivery points to local communities in Los Angeles and surrounding cities.

Aspiring to always be an example to anyone around him, Six credits his drive and tenacity to his wife Casey and their children Arwen, Kaelynn, Sophie and Benjamin.

The title, “Postmaster” carries with it a Noble Heritage and a Vital Responsibility. As such, Six joins a long line of postmasters appointed on merit and commitment to serving the American people.
