Event Set for July 20 in Colorado Springs
What:
The U, S, Postal Service will unveil the Apollo 11 First Moon Landing Stamp and provide a special pictorial postmark with the stamp. The event is being held in conjunction with the Space Foundation.

Background:
The Space Foundation has invited the U.S. Postal Service to participate in its 50th anniversary commemoration of the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969. USPS will unveil the Apollo 11 First .Moon Landing commemorative First-Class stamp and provide a special pictorial postmark. The Postal Service will have stamps, commemorative envelopes and stamp art for sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
NOTE: The Space Foundation is charging an admission fee for the event.
The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations
