USPS Capitol Hill Station Temporarily Forced Out of the Building Due to Last Night’s Rain

USPS is working diligently to restore service as soon as possible

Denver, CO – Due to last night’s rain, an unexpected water issue has temporarily forced the Postal Service out of the leased facility at 1541 Marion St., effective August 22, 2019. Engineers are on site assessing the situation and soundness of the building.

Both PO Box and retail services are impacted, however all street delivery will be made according to schedule.

“The safety of our employees and customers is paramount,” said Denver Postmaster Lora McLucas. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our customers and are working to quickly to repair the damage.”

The Postal Service receives no tax dollars for operating expenses and relies on the sale of postage, products and services to fund its operations.
