U.S. Postal Service Job Fairs to Promote Florida Keys Employment Opportunities

Key West, FL — If you’re seeking employment in the southernmost point in the continental United States, mark Friday, July 22, and Saturday, July 23, on your calendar. Both dates, the U.S. Postal Service will be hosting a job fair at the Key West Main Post Office, 400 Whitehead Street. Postal officials will be onsite to talk with interested residents and to assist with the application process Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12 Noon.

In addition to Key West employment, there also are hiring opportunities for positions in Key Largo, Marathon, and Summerland Key.

Assistant Rural Carrier (ARC)
Salary: $19.06 per hour

This employee will deliver and collect packages along routes in rural areas and will provide a variety of services to customers along an assigned route. The successful applicant may be required to provide their own vehicle for transportation. As an ARC, you may opt to provide service to your community on weekends and holidays or up to seven days each week; whichever suits your lifestyle. If you enjoy working outdoors, while keeping your week free, this position may be a great fit for you.

Rural Carrier Associate (RCA)
Salary: $19.06 per hour

In this role, you will deliver and collect packages along routes in rural areas during weekdays, weekends, and holidays. You also will provide a variety of services to customers along your assigned route. You may be required to use a personal vehicle if a postal vehicle is not provided. As an RCA, you may be eligible to receive health benefits and promotion to a career opportunity. This position is ideal for candidates who enjoy staying active and working independently outdoors with occasional customer service interactions.

City Carrier Assistant (CCA)
Salary: $18.92 per hour

As a City Carrier Assistant (CCA), you will deliver and collect mail on foot or by vehicle in a city area. You also will maintain good relations with customers and will have a general familiarity with postal laws, regulations, and products for your area. A CCA will provide a critical service to their community by ensuring mail delivery during weekdays, weekends, and holidays with opportunities for career promotion. A CCA may be eligible for certain benefits, including paid leave and health insurance. If you enjoy being active and interacting with customers, this position is ideal.

Postal Support Employee (PSE) Sales and Services/Distribution Associate (SSDA)
Salary: $18.69 per hour 

A successful applicant will perform a variety of sales and customer support services. This job primarily involves providing services to customers at the retail counter at the Post Office. Benefits may include paid vacation leave and health insurance. If you enjoy working regularly with the public, this position may be an excellent fit for you.
