Vice President, Business Solutions Robert Raines Jr.

Robert Raines Jr. was named Vice President, Business Solutions in April 2022. He reports to the Chief Commerce and Business Solutions Officer and Executive Vice President.

In this role, Raines will be responsible for leading the strategic and tactical design of a suite of commerce solutions for external customers by leveraging Postal Service assets to generate revenue through the development, integration, and implementation of commerce solutions. He will also be responsible for the Global Business portfolio, helping to better align international and domestic product offerings as the Postal Service develops dynamic commerce solutions to meet the evolving needs of its customers, both domestically and internationally.

Raines is a Postal Service veteran with more than 34 years. He has held leadership roles at the District, Area, and Headquarter levels in various functional areas. Raines brings with him more than a decade of executive leadership experience in operations, business, and analytics. Most recently, Raines served as the Global Business managing director. In this position, he developed strategic initiatives to enhance international products and services and led international mail services negotiation of agreements and contracts with foreign postal administrations, suppliers, major postal partners, and customers.

Before his role in Global Business, he held the position of International Operations executive director, where he was responsible for all international in-bound and out-bound mail operations including transportation to more than 250 international air stops, diplomatic posts, and military locations around the world as well as active war zones. Raines has also served in other executive and managerial positions including Systems Integration executive director, Network Visibility Systems manager, Customer and Field Performance manager, and Operations Support manager.

Raines is a graduate of Ashford University where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Operational Management and Analysis. He has completed various executive leadership courses including the Senior Executive Assessment and Development Program, and he is a Lean Six Sigma certified Green Belt.
