Mike L. Barber
Vice President, Processing and Maintenance Operations
Mike Barber was named vice president, Processing and Maintenance Operations in August 2020. He reports directly to the chief logistics and processing officer, executive vice president and oversees Processing Operations, Maintenance Operations, International Operations and Operations Integration and Support.
Barber began his career in 1990 as a distribution clerk trainee, at the North Texas P&DC in Coppell, Texas. He has held a wide variety of positions, including supervisor, distribution operations at the North Texas P&DC; manager, distribution operations at the Tulsa, Oklahoma P&DC and served in that role at increasingly higher levels.
Barber was named the manager, processing distribution facility for the Utica, New York P&DF in 2004. He remained in New York, and eventually becoming the plant manager, at the Syracuse, New York P&DC. In 2006, he was selected plant manager for the Austin, Texas P&DC, and later served as the senior plant manager for the Fort Worth, Texas P&DC. In 2011, he was selected to serve as controller for Southern Area, and in 2006 selected as the manager, Operations Support for Southern Area.
Barber is a graduate of the Postal Service’s Advanced Leadership Program and is a trained Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
