Seamless Acceptance leverages electronic documentation and the Intelligent Mail barcodes on containers, handling units, and mailpieces that Full-Service provides. Mailpiece scans collected from Mail Processing Equipment (MPE) and samples from hand-held scanning devices are reconciled to the mailer eDoc to confirm proper mail preparation for the discounts claimed and postage paid.
Mail is verified through the comparison of eDoc to MPE scans (called census verification) and the comparison of eDoc to scans from sampling (called sampling verification). The results of these Seamless Acceptance verifications are aggregated over a 1-month period, measured against established error thresholds, and displayed in the Mailer Scorecard under the Seamless Tab. When the mailer is participating in Seamless Acceptance or Automated Verification, the Seamless tab of the Scorecard is accessible to Mail Preparers and Mail Owners. Data provided to non-Seamless/Automated Verification mailers is for informational purposes only.
Note: Once a CRID is enrolled in Seamless Acceptance there is no ability to “opt out.”
